YUSHCHENKO DECLARES 2009 YEAR OF YOUTH

Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has declared 2009 a Year of Youth. He announced this during the Eighth Conference of European Ministers, UKRINFORM reported.
"We will draft another strategy for ten years [in 2009]," Yushchenko said.
According to the president, this strategy will pay great attention to ways to integrate young people, resolve educational problems, instill patriotism in the young generation, and make it lead a healthy life.
Yushchenko said that this is of great importance because Ukraine has many bright and active young people who will become the future of Ukraine.
